Fabulous Fall Wreath

There will be a rain dance Friday night, weather permitting.

GEORGE CARLIN

The weekend is finally here! I am so over this week and glad I have the weekend to spend time with friends. Friday night started with a nice visit from these guys…

Our friends Toby and Stef were heading to a wedding in Dallas this weekend, and luckily for us, Oklahoma was on their way. We are so grateful that people actually travel to Texas, so they can stop in and see us on their trip down:)

I decided to kick off the weekend with a little Saturday morning craft. Today here is my spin on a fall wreath.

How to make a Fabulous Fall Wreath

Hobby Lobby is always a great place to start. I actually went to check out their wreath selection, but the only ones that I liked were all at least $49.99! So I took the task into my own hands and bought a bare wood wreath and two bunches of floral bouquets for only $17.76.

The bouquets I decided on I liked because of their long feather-like design.

Then I just got a basic wreath to insert the flowers into.

I took a pair of needle nose pliers and cut the stem of each flower off from the bouquet.

Then I just inserted the flowers into the wreath.

I made sure to space the flowers around the wreath and fill in as I went. This way I did not end up off-balance with all the flowers on one side.

I kept inserting the flowers until I reached my desired fullness.

That’s it! It is so easy, so simple, that you should never have to buy another expensive wreath again. I love the finished wreath on the door.

It is not too shabby for a $17.76 large wreath. This wreath is fabulous for sure.

Did I mention that Chris and I like to run??? He just got home from running 22 miles. No big deal. Just part of training for a marathon. Another great thing he looks forward to is his ice bath afterwards.

Burrrrrr…

and yes that is our Christmas themed wall paper in the back ground.

That is why you will see #28 on my 30 Things to do be before turning 30 is to update my bathroom.

Well I am off to the gym for some treadmill time, and then I am heading to dinner tonight with some wonderful friends! I hope everyone has a fun-filled Saturday.

How do you like to spend your weekend?
