Copycat La Casita Salsa
Don’t change so people will like you. Be yourself and the right people will love the real you.

Even though I live in Oklahoma, I have a love for all things Kansas.
So tonight with the opportunity to see The Hunger Games movie or watch The University of Kansas face North Carolina State, I had to choose my Jayhawks.
To celebrate my Kansas love, I decided to make a copycat version of my favorite salsa from back home…
Copycat La Casita Salsa
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoons crushed red pepper (use just one teaspoon if you like it mild)
1 (14 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
Directions:
1. Toast crushed red pepper in a skillet over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
2. Use a food processor or blender to liquefy all ingredients. I used my Magic Bullet!
3. Enjoy!
I am obsessed with this salsa. I have to eat at La Casita whenever I am back home.
My plate is covered in this red goodness anytime I eat there.
I would drink it if it were socially acceptable, so there might be a problem with being able to create it in my own kitchen.
I hate saying that I just go there for the salsa, but it is kind of true. I cannot help it. It is just that good.
What is your favorite kind of salsa?
