Banana Berry Protein Shake

I have not played the lottery in years, but with all the hype I just could not resist.

Dave Ramsey calls the lotto the “poor man’s tax,” and I do agree that it is not the smartest way to spend you money. Just imagining winning big was worth it.

I did not take home the grand prize, but I won a few bucks. Always breaking even…just my luck. There was a winner in my home state of Kansas and also in Maryland and Illinois. Craziness!

Choosing to make my own luck, I wanted to make something full of antioxidants and protein.

Banana Berry Protein Shake

Ingredients:

½ cup frozen mixed berries

½ cup frozen banana slices

1 scoop protein powder

1 cup low sugar orange juice

Directions:

1. Add ingredients to mixer and blend together until smooth.

2. Enjoy!

When my bananas start to brown, I cut them up into slices and freeze. They make my smoothies so creamy and delicious.

My favorite protein powder is Jillian Michaels Whey Protein in vanilla flavor. I just love the flavor and added protein.

This shake is perfect for a recovery drink or a spiced up afternoon snake in a martini glass.
