15 Week Bump

Being pregnant was the healthiest I’ve ever been in my life. Except for the cupcakes.

Now that I am starting to be more noticeably pregnant, I decided that it would be fun to start tracking the progress through my blog. My stepsister had sent me a link to a baby blog that displayed the blogger’s bump as she progressed, and I was instantly hooked.

It was such a clever idea that I wanted to have the same documentation for my pregnancy. I will be posting an update once a week of the bump and all the changes associated. I promise to include all the strange things I have been eating/craving to stay inline with my food blog theme. Stay posted because this bean is growing like a weed!

How Far Along: 15 weeks and definitely showing

Total Weight Gain: 10 pounds…I blame Mexico

Food Cravings: Salsa! I made two different kinds in one day, 30 Second Salsa and a Copycat La Casita recipe.

What I Miss: After a sober trip to Mexico, I really miss drinking Miami Vices by the pool.

Symptoms: Heartburn and indigestion every night without fail. My second trimester is going really well. I was super tired my whole first trimester, but luckily I didn’t have much morning sickness.

Baby Movement: My doctor said I probably wouldn’t feel anything until 20 weeks, which surprised me because at my last ultrasound, the baby was moving like crazy doing somersaults and flips.

Maternity Attire: I have gotten away with wearing summer dresses everyday, but I have almost completely ditched my heels.

Hurl Factor: I get a little nauseas every time I brush my teeth.

Annoyances: Not being able to stand for extended periods without getting tired and light headed, and that I have to wake up multiple times throughout the night to use the bathroom.

Weekly Highlight: Can a highlight be eating out with friends? Actually I can’t wait for my next appointment where I will find out if the little bean is a boy or girl.

How did you document your pregnancy?
