Sally’s Pins

Be silly, be honest, be kind…

RALPH WALDO EMERSON

It was tax free weekend in Oklahoma this weekend, and instead of buying practical things like new maternity clothes, I was drawn to the baby stuff.

Buying tent-sized clothing to cover my bump just doesn’t sound as appealing as buying tiny things for the baby. In fact even when spending endless hours on Pinterest, the baby is still always on my mind. There were some non-baby items that stood above the rest, so here is this week’s edition of Sally’s Pins:

Future Olympian: I don’t know about you guys, but I am obsessed with the Olympics. I kind of want to recreate this with Chris is my driveway. If that’s not an option, maybe with Doug or Nellie.

Hombre Dresser: This idea is pure genius! That dresser looks so amazing in its new hombre tint. I’m thinking this has to be my next project as soon as I can make it down to the Dallas Ikea.

Make-Ahead, Healthy Egg McMuffin: Can you say perfect tailgait sandwich? With so many beers and Bloody Marys being consumed at the early games, you need something light to fill you up, and this sandwich is just the thing.

10 Things to Hang Above the Bed: The bed is always the focal point in the bedroom, so you better make sure to have the perfect arrangement above it. This website gives 10 great ideas to choose from for the perfect design.

Salted Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Bark: Without even seeing the picture, the name of this treat has me drooling with anticipation. Sweet and salty pretzels covered in caramel and chocolate, sign me up!

Heart Wall Art: I adore this wall art. It is so sweet and simple. This project is something that anyone could make, and it is has such a big impact covering a large amount of wall space.

Great Attic Rooms: Attic rooms can be so tricky with their slanted ceilings, and lucky for me I have a room just like this. This gives me such a wonderful idea to really utilize the space.

Caitlin Wilson Textiles: I love everything about Caitlin Wilson’s patterns. The geometric patterns are spot on. These pillows have the perfect preppy pattern to spice up any room.

Awesome Arrow Rings: I love these stacked rings! It could be because they so closely resemble the chevron pattern I adore, but I’m also really digging the pastel color palette.

Gender Voting Station: I am leaning towards having a gender reveal party to find out our baby’s sex, and this chalkboard would be such a fun addition to the party.

Photo Chandelier: This idea really would make an impact at a party. It’s fun to show off your favorite pictures, and they are placed just right so guest can easily view them while filling up their plates.

Bubble Statement Necklace: I have been eyeing the bubble necklace at Jcrew, but with a price tag of $150 I haven’t wanted to give in. Lucky for me there are the perfect copycat options.

Reisenthel Easy Bags: I need these bags. My current options are so flimsy and never hold all the items I need to purchase. Instead of bringing 10 small one, these two larger options would really simplify things.

Carrie Underwood Hairstyle: I may or may not have a girl crush on Carrie Underwood and want to copy her hairstyle…

Big Headboard with Chevron Pillows: Speaking of beds being the focal point. This headboard stands alone in perfection. I want it and the chevron pillows on the side.

What do you have hanging over your bed?
