This week has been a whirlwind! Finding out the gender and revealing it to our families and friends was so much fun, and also really great things have been happening for my friends this week. From promotions to babies, I can’t stop smiling with happiness.

It was so tough to keep our little boy a secret. I wanted Chris to have private celebrations with me just knowing that it was a boy all week. I don’t think there could have been a better fit for us. I wasn’t secretly hoping for one or the other, but I kept gravitating towards boy options. I even purchase just a boy outfit before we found out. My friend swears she just knew she was having a girl, and I think I knew deep down I was having a boy. Now the fun really begins!

How Far Along: 21 weeks and it only gets better from here!

Total Weight Gain: 16 pounds, the cookie and cake production this week didn’t help in the weight gaining department.

Food Cravings: Cold fruit (apples, grapes and raspberries)

What I Miss: My mom made margaritas for the party, and I missed getting to enjoy one of her heavenly concoctions.

Symptoms: I don’t think that this is necessarily a symptom, but I have a crazy eye twitch right now. I’m hoping it’s because of the baby and not West Nile.

Baby Movement: It still blows my mind every time I feel the baby move. Any time I am sitting still I can feel him wiggling in there.

Maternity Attire: One of my maternity shirts already doesn’t fit. How can this be possible! I thought those things were tents that fit all.

Hurl Factor: I definitely have an aversion to cleaning. The bathrooms gave me the most trouble this week.

Annoyances: My dogs are really annoying me this week, and by dogs I mean Doug. Does that count?

Weekly Highlight: Getting to buy clothes for the baby. Chris’ co-workers swore we were having a girl, since I could stop buying baby clothes. It’s a good thing it wasn’t a girl or else our budget would be in trouble.
