Sally’s Pins

If you always do what interest you at least one person is pleased.

KATHARINE HEPBURN

It just makes me smile knowing that I have a four day work week! In the banking industry, Labor Day signals the start of Federal Holidays season, with at least one extra day off every month. Next on the agenda is Columbus Day, and let’s not even get into November where we get two days off. Having that extra day allows me to get some much needed things done, including this week’s edition of Sally’s Pins.

Pick Your Poison Bar: There are so many wonderful things to look forward to in the Fall, but one of my favorite things is celebrating Halloween. This bar would be so fun to have at a party!

Entry Console + Wall Stripes: I can’t get enough of striped walls! This console table looks perfect with its darker shade against the pale stripes.

Circus Animal Cookie Truffle: I thought Oreo Balls were the most decadent twist on a cookie favorite, but this spin on Circus Animal Cookies might take the cake…or cookie.

Outside Balloon Wall: What a great idea to use golf tees to stake balloons to the ground. This is perfect for any outside celebration!

Puffed Quinoa Peanut Butter Balls: I definitely lean more towards sweets these days, so it would be nice to have an option that is packed with protein too. Between the peanut butter and quinoa this is the perfect option.

Coffee Bar: I think I am tired now, but this feeling is nothing compared to how tired I will be once the baby is here. I think setting up a coffee bar is just what I need for a fuel station.

Date Night in a Jar: Date night jar made with color coded popsicle sticks. Red is most expensive and planning required, pink is minimal money spent and white is a stay at home date. This is a great idea of indecisive married people like me.

Pumpkin Bread with Streusel Topping: I’m counting down the days until Pumpkin Spice Lattes make their appearance at Starbucks. I hope this Pumpkin Bread will hold me over until then.

DIY Gold Etagere: I would have never guessed this shelf is a creation from Ikea. It looks so upscale and expensive!

Mini Turtle Brownie: Brownies covered in carmel and pecans, sign me up! I wonder how many of these precious treats I could pop in my mouth?

Ann Taylor Flats: Flats are the safest option for me these days, and I think these two toned flats are perfect for dressing up any outfit.

Cute Cake Pop Display: Had I seen this unique display, I might have gone the Cake Pop route for the Gender Reveal Party. The bright, colorful sprinkles are so playful and fun for a party.

Unique Baby Picture: I love this angle that shows the interaction between father and child! It is such a great way to capture the love.

Almond Joy Cupcakes: I can now add coconut to the list of things I am craving. I can’t even imagine the joy of biting into these beauties.

Best News of the Week: My dear friend Abby shared some exciting news on her blog this week. I couldn’t help but tearing up when reading about her journey. I couldn’t be more excited for her!

What’s the best thing that happened to you this week?
