25 Week Bump
Today you are you that is truer than true. There is no one alive that is youer than you.
DR. SEUSS
The stripes are up on the wall, and I cannot wait to rip off the tape and show you the hubby’s hard work. With 15 weeks to go, I feel like I still have a million things to get done. Just having the paint up on the wall is a big accomplishment, so now I can get started with bringing in the furniture and accessories. I still have two and a half green walls left to bring in some bump shots.
How Far Along: 25 weeks with 15 weeks to go!
Total Weight Gain: 22 pounds but it feels more like 50
Food Cravings: It is a toss up this week between Whole Food’s Salad Bar and Panera Bread, wheat berry deliciousness or creamy soup. I would not be surprised if I found myself hitting up both locations in one day. I am just lucky it is not bacon with the soon-to-be shortage.
What I Miss: It has been a rough week on the sleep front. Between an increased amount of bathroom visits and crazy heartburn, I am lucky to squeeze in a few hours each night.
Symptoms: Heartburn has been a constant factor throughout my pregnancy, but it usually passes so quickly that I do not need to reach for the meds. Now, all of a sudden, I have been waking up in a panic with a feeling that acid is rolling up my throat. It is really fun. Let me tell you.
Baby Movement: Lots of movement going on this week, especially in tense situations when my dentist decides we do not need to use any numbing medication. Okay, he was right, but that does not mean the baby and I did not squirm a little.
Maternity Attire: I hit the jackpot this week and found two Old Navy stores that carry the maternity line. After trying on a round of jeans, I was pleasantly surprised by their Rockstar Jeggings. Also, I was shocked to find that the demi panel is much for comfortable than the full panel. Less is more people!
Hurl Factor: I am trying to keep my portion sizes small. Anytime my eyes get bigger than my stomach, and I shovel too much in, I fear that it might come back up at any moment.
Annoyances: I used to always sleep on my left side by choice, but now that it is the recommended way to sleep, I would much rather be on my right side or back.
Weekly Highlight: The nursery is progressing right before my eyes! The hubby got to work painting the stripe accent walls, and I feel like my vision for the nursery is finally coming to life.
