Easy Nailhead Pumpkin

Sometimes the most ordinary things could be made extraordinary, simply by doing them with the right people.

NICHOLAS SPARKS

I am knocking out things left and right from my Fall Bucket List. We are still enjoying the 16 Bean Crock Pot Stew Soup I made on Monday, and since I chose to paint my pumpkins this year, they still look as lovely as ever on our front porch. We have four beauts keeping it real out there.

I have been meaning to share with you the easiest way to decorate a pumpkin. The painted ones took a little more effort to put together, but the nailheads pumpkins were a cinch. I picked up two packages from Hobby Lobby for $1.99 a piece (they’re located in the upholstery section). The ones I chose had a nice ornate design.

Then all I had to do was simply push the nailheads into the pumpkin. That’s it!

For the design, I used nail heads to accent the groves in the pumpkin for one. For the other, I went with a simple monogram letter.

They maybe took a whole five minutes to put together. Now that is my kind of pumpkin. They look so good on our porch they might even be upstaging the Fabulous Fall Wreath I made last year.

It’s hard to compete with simplicity and chevron. If you still haven’t tackled your pumpkins this year, it’s not too late to throw together some of these easy options.

What’s your porch show stopper?
