29 Week Bump

I am starting to really feel pregnant these days. It’s getting harder and harder to move around. Sometimes I forget how big I am. Yesterday, at T.J.Maxx I almost got stuck trying to wedge myself between some furniture. I apologize in advance if I happen to bump into you with my giant belly. There is some major growth going on this week!

How Far Along: 29 Weeks

Total Weight Gain: 26 pounds

Food Cravings: Anytime I know I am going to Kansas the cravings for La Casita salsa hit. I indulged twice this last week, once with my other very pregnant friend, and then my mother-in-law was sweet enough to serve it with the taco bar at the shower she and my sister-in-laws threw for us. I’m feeling very satisfied this week.

What I Miss: I miss being comfortable. It’s hard enough to roll from one side to the other in the night, let alone find a position I can stand for a few hours. Getting up from a chair has provided a whole new set of problems.

Symptoms: I am starting to notice a lot more swelling in my hands and feet, especially when I eat anything really sweet or salty. It’s probably a good thing my favorite salsa and chips are miles away.

Baby Movement: There is lots of kicking being directed at my bladder these days. It seems like the little guy is constantly moving. I can feel him really well, but it’s still hard to feel him from the outside.

Maternity Attire: My husband got us tickets to a dinner at the top of the new Devon Tower this week, so I am on the hunt for a new dress. Shopping is definitely not as fun as it used to be.

Hurl Factor: My belly button is getting smaller by the day. If it decides to pop, I think I will definitely hurl. I just don’t want to see what’s been hiding in there for 28 years.

Annoyances: My new large and in charge size is starting to effect my circulation. I have to roll a few times throughout the night to keep my hands from falling asleep too.

Weekly Highlight: My highlight of the week was getting to spend time with my family. I wish I could see them every week! My nephews are growing up way too fast.

How often do you get to see your family?
