Slutty Brownies Made Easier

A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous.

COCO CHANEL

Notice something familiar?

After finding these slutty brownies from What’s Gaby Cooking on Pinterest, I knew I had to make some for the bachelorette party this past weekend.

I had a million things to get done on my To-Do List last week, so I needed a quick simple way to make these goodies. Insert the cheat method to baking, buying premade and box mixes.

Here is how I spun this recipe into an easier version…

Slutty Brownies

Ingredients:

1 package cookie dough

1 package Oreo cookies

1 box brownie mix (might need oil and eggs too)

Directions:

1. Flatten cookie dough and line baking dish.

2. Layer Oreos on top.

3. Prepare brownie mix and pour over cookies.

4. Follow baking directions from brownie mix.

5. Enjoy!

There is nothing about these brownies not to enjoy. Chocolate Chip Cookies…good. Oreos…good. Brownies…so much better with the cookie addition.

The brownie batter slips between the Oreos for a chewy perfection. What an amazing combination!

These brownies were just what a bunch of party girls needed. They also would be great for any party, but you might change the name to protect the innocent.

Do prefer homemade or boxed brownies?

How to Throw a Bachelorette Party

Here’s to alcohol: the cause of, and answer to, all of life’s problems.

MATT GROENING

1. Find a bride and put her in something ridiculous.

2. Get some sweet decorations like the ones I found here.

3. Throw in some inappropriate paraphernalia.

4. The more sweets the better. Girls are quite fond of chocolate and cupcakes!

5. Stinky cheese is always a crowd pleaser.

6. Lingerie is usually a helpful gift to bring.

7. They sell some pretty crazy things for bachelorette parties…buy them.

8. Try and make some friends throughout the evening. Professional wrestlers are cool.

9. But avoid running into people you might know…remember you are at a bachelorette party. It is kind of like being in Vegas.

10. Take pictures early in the night because they just get blurrier as the night goes on.

*Note this post did not mention beverages, but plenty of champagne was indulged during this party. Drink up!

Do you have any tips for bachelorette parties?

Mimosas Mixed with Tornado Season

Close you eyes and tap your heels together three times. And think to yourself, there’s no place like home.

THE WIZARD OF OZ

We took Kansas City by storm this weekend, and Kansas threw its best storm at us. When the weather man says, “be prepared to survive a tornado today,” he usually means it. So we did out best to prepare by starting our day with these…

Followed by recovering from Friday by eating here…

Kansas City dodged a bullet this weekend, but there was still plenty to worry about when central Kansas and Oklahoma were getting pounded by tornadoes. My friend Penny’s dad was able to catch this shot of the twister that threatened our families in Salina, KS.

This photo blows my mind. My hometown narrowly escaped a catastrophe.

I did my best to keep drinking and not think about the fact that my husband was sending me these shots from western Oklahoma.

I am so thankful that our families were untouched by the storms today, and thankful for the readers tuning in. There will be more to come about the shenanigans from Saturday night’s party.

Did you know anyone effected by the storms this weekend?

Sally’s Pins

Age is of no importance unless you are a cheese.

UNKNOWN

With my friend’s bachelorette party only a week away, I turned to Pinterest to help with the planning. After typing in bachelorette party, my page was filled with fun ideas I have not seen at the last ten parties I attended. For this week’s edition of Sally’s Pins, here are my favorite ideas for the party…

Bachelorette Party Morning After Mugshots: The morning after is never pretty, but it is always fun to reminisce on the night before. This photo made me laugh out loud.

Cookie Butts: I do not really know what girl’s underwear has to do with bachelorette parties, but I still want to make these…because it looks easy.

Staches and Tiaras: a bridal shower game. Thank you Pinterest for leading me to a website with game ideas.

Blow Pop Martini Jelly Shot: It would not be a bachelorette party without jello shots. These are a fun new twist.

How to Throw a Bachelorette Party that Doesn’t Suck: How perfect is this picture with this website? Love that movie!

Festive Garland: I would love to make some fun garland to hang in our hotel room, or if all else fails, order one from Urban Outfitters.

Pink Peanut Butter Hugs: I love the pink and zebra cookies. It is so girly and fitting for the party.

Bachelorette Party Ideas: A website full of fun themes for a bachelorette party. Definitely need to check this out.

Cute as a Button: These are a fun way to unite the group as we travel from bar to bar.

Champagne with Raspberries: This just screams party, and it is pretty too.

Slutty Brownies: Yeah, I think I need to make these…not because we are slutty, but because they look amazing.

Drunk Barbie Cake: It is a toss up between having a Drunk Barbie Cake or Ken Doll cake.

Lemon Drop Jell-O Shots: Eating a Jell-O Shot can be a tricky thing, but these look so easy to eat. Yum!

Drink Tub: Seeing as we will be partying in a hotel room for a portion of the night, we will definitely need a Drink Tub.

Drunken Gummies: This could be trouble, but they could also be really delicious!

I am so glad I have a Pinterest Board to refer to with ideas for Bachelorette Parties. It is nice to be able to find ideas and then go back to them later.

What was the most memorable bachelorette party you went to?
