Christmas Cookie Plate
If it is important to you, you will find a way. If not, you’ll find an excuse.

Who’s going with a cookie plate this year for your homemade gift option? At 37 weeks pregnant, I thought that was by far the best option. When it comes to cleaning the house, I’m not really feeling it, but I sure get a burst of energy to stand in the kitchen and bake all day! Needless to say, my back’s paying the price now.
At least deciding on which cookies to make was an easy decision. I turned to my good friend Pinterest and some easy recipes I have made in the past. I like a good variety on my cookie plate, so I needed a mix of over-the-top and easy recipes.
Oreo Balls: My sister-in-law, Jenny, made these last year at Christmas, and they were so good, I had to include them in my holiday plate. To dress them up a bit, I added a chocolate drizzle on top. I just melted some semi-sweet chocolate, poured it into a ziplock bag, cut off a small corner, and drizzled on top. Bam!
Double-Delight Peanut Butter Cookies: My hands down favorite peanut butter cookie recipe comes from Pillsbury. Peanut Butter Cookies, filled with creamy, sweet peanut butter, covered in cinnamon sugar, can’t get any better.
Turtle Pretzels: By far the easiest thing I made, was the Turtle Pretzels. If you don’t count unrolling all of the Rolos, these babies can be made in five minutes or less.
Lemon Crinkle Cookies: Sugar Cookies are a staple for a Christmas cookie plate, but instead of taking the traditional route, I went with a lemony version. I used this recipe at our Gender Reveal Party, and they were such a hit, I knew they would fit perfectly into the mix.
Caramel Brownie Crinkle Cookies: For my last addition to the plate, I browsed through this list of of 20 Christmas Cookie Exchange Recipes from Six Sisters’ Stuff and decided to try out the Caramel Brownie Crinkle Cookies. The simple ingredient list and oozing caramel, had me sold.
With a variety of five cookies baked, I was ready to get these guys plated. I went to the Dollar Tree to find some fun tins to stash them in. I also got some cute plates to use too. I was impressed by the huge selection they had to choose from. Go Dollar Tree!
Once they were all nestled in, I sent the hubby out to make our deliveries.
Glad I got that checked off my to-do list in case this baby arrives tomorrow.
What’s your favorite Christmas cookie?
