Decorating for Christmas
A wise woman once said that every morning when you wake up you say a little prayer. After all, you never know what your day may hold.
GOSSIP GIRL
It has been a lazy day at our house. I had some time to catch up on my shows I missed this week due to holiday travel. It does not really matter what I am watching, Chris thinks that it signs off as “XOXO Gossip Girl.” I only watch it once a week, but I think he gets a little confused with all the Bravo housewives I watch:)
We did manage to squeeze some activities in today. We got a lot of Christmas decorations put up! Chris went to work on our lights outside, while I took charge in the house starting with our tree.
It is a little too small for the room, but it suits Chris and I just fine. We have had it since our first Christmas together in an apartment. For all of you crafters out there, this is a really cute idea.
It was a gift from a friend. If you want to recreate it, all you have to do is paint a piece of wood and add a hanger to it. Then just use Mod Podge to add the picture on top. Here is an example. Another cute gift we received was this.
I love that they added Nellie to our family Christmas ball. I like to hang it in my dinning room. Here is an example of how to paint your own Christmas ornaments.
Along with wonderful Christmas music, we enjoyed some delicious Peppermint Hot Chocolate while we decorated today.
It was not quite Willams-Sonoma but close enough. I even added a few marshmellows.
Well I am off to enjoy my hot chocolate by the fire and watch some The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
…with my roommate and four furry friends.
Do you have any traditions while you decorate for Christmas?
