23 Week Bump
Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.
WINNIE THE POOH
It has been a great week on the baby front. My doctor’s appointment could not have gone any better. After thinking that I was going to have so many hurdles to tackle in the last trimester due to placenta previa (a condition where the placenta forms around your cervix), I found out that the problem had resolved itself. I had finally gotten my head wrapped around the idea of having a cesarean section, and now, hopefully, I need to start preparing for a much different journey. I am so thankful for my and baby’s health this week!
How Far Along: 23 weeks
Total Weight Gain: 19 pounds
Food Cravings: Egg Sandwiches! I just had to have them for our tailgate party, and then I ended up making them again for a friend’s birthday celebration.
What I Miss: My old bra size. These things are getting out of control.
Symptoms: I am definitely starting to notice the itchy abdomen. My stomach feels huge this week!
Baby Movement: I found out that my placenta is on the anterior side, which makes it more difficult at this stage for Chris and me to feel the baby move. I guess I cannot complain as long as the baby is healthy.
Maternity Attire: My larger sized dresses are being tested to their limit. I think they only have a few weeks left in them, so I better start my maternity clothes hunt a.s.a.p.
Hurl Factor: Unfortunately, nothing makes me nauseas these days, and I can definitely tell by my growing belly.
Annoyances: My stomach feels stretched to its max this week. I guess it is usually towards the end of the night…after dinner. I am hoping smaller portion sizes will help with this crazy feeling of fullness.
Weekly Highlight: Finding out that my placenta previa had resolved itself and that all of my vitals and baby’s were perfect!
