Kashi Diet – Day 4

If I find in myself desires which nothing in this world can satisfy, the only logical explanation is that I was made for another world.

C.S. LEWIS

The food options have been so good this week, that I don’t feel like I am on a diet. I view it more as a natural cleanse with the added fiber. So far, I have not had any trouble getting used to the whole grain options I chose, but I would recommend easing in to their Go Lean Crunch cereal. That stuff is powerful. Here are the delicious options I enjoyed today…

Breakfast – Golden Maple Oatmeal

My ideal breakfast would be oatmeal. Sometimes it gets old, but it really offers me the best benefits. It helps to stabilize my blood sugar and keep me full until lunch.

I like to spice up my oatmeal with fresh fruit, Chia Seeds, or nuts. It really hits the spot in the morning.

Lunch – Roasted Garlic Chicken Farfalle

Natural White Chicken, Asparagus & Spinach over Kashi 7 Whole Grain Farfalle Pasta with a Roasted Garlic, Tomato, Red Wine and Basil Sauce.

It makes me so happy to see all the veggies in the Kashi pastas. They really knocked the ball out of the park with the shredded carrots.

I was nervous that I wouldn’t like the Roasted Garlic, Tomato, Red Wine and Basil Sauce, but it was rather tasty.

Snack – Original 7 Grain Crackers with Sea Salt

These pita chips were so good that I was disappointed I forgot to bring some hummus to enjoy them with.

Dinner – Pizza

When trying to decide which Kashi products to try this week, I was most excited to eat the pizzas. Unfortunately, they were out of stock at Target and I could not find them anywhere else. Maybe it’s a good thing because I don’t know how I could narrow it down to just one with…

Mushroom Trio & Spinach

Margherita

Roasted Vegetable

Pizza was still on my mind, and with my family in town, I decided Papa Murphy’s Take and Bake would hit the spot.

Their pizza is so good it’s a whole other blog, but I did finish the night with another serving of the Kashi Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookie.

Delicious! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Whole Foods will have a stock of Kashi pizzas when I go in.

What’s your favorite frozen pizza?
