If we allowed them to play well, talent was going to prevail, and we allowed them to play well.
There is something about KU Basketball. They do their best when they are challenged, and they like to rise to the occasion. Tonight was one of those nights. The other team dominated most of the game, but then KU came back with their true fast paced style and won the game.
I totally regret not going to Lawrence to watch the game with Penny.
While she was hitting up our favorite stopping grounds, I was at a thrift store.
My friend Brittany told me about this idea of turning a desk into two end tables, and I think it is genius!

Based on the outside, Tropical Cafe is not a place that I was dying to try. Everything about this place is pretty random, from the appearance to the menu.
I was under the impression that this was a deli-type café, but when I walked in they told me that the sushi was on special for the day. Hmmm….after checking out the menu I would describe it as deli with a Japanese twist, which is kind of awesome since both foods are my go to healthy choice.
I went with the Chicken Breast Sandwich with Teriyaki Sauce.
I have never even imagined trying this mix, but it was amazing! I went the wheat bread, and I really appreciated the thin chicken breast because it made the sandwich really easy to eat.
I was really surprised at how much I liked Tropical Café. The atmosphere was really family friendly, and the employees knew all their customers by name. Since they do serve alcohol, I bet this is a great environment for families to come and watch the game.
Tropical Café is the place with everything (seriously they have a drive-thru and do catering). Even though they had TVs to watch the game, Chris and I went with a more traditional sports bar to watch the game. I did not think it could get better than beating Roy last week, but being in the National Championship is icing on the cake!
Where are you going to watch the 2012 NCAA National Championship?
