Mint Chip Ice Cream

When you stop doing things for fun you might as well be dead.

Sometimes products are totally interchangeable. That is not the case for me when it comes to balsamic vinegar. I will drive all the way to Williams-Sonoma and shell out the extra $15 just for this luscious product.

Oliver’s Balsamic Vinegar is the thickest vinegar I have ever purchased, and it is the perfect mixture of sweet and bitter. My favorite way to enjoy it is over summer tomatoes, but it also goes nicely with fresh strawberries.

While in the store, I couldn’t help but spot another tasty treat, Mint Chip Ice Cream Starter.

I couldn’t wait to try it out. My KitchenAid Mixer has so many amazing attachments to make life easier in the kitchen, but my favorite is the Ice Cream Maker!

The bowl has to sit in the freezer for at least fifteen hours, but after that you can enjoy ice cream within thirty minutes. I started by mixing my Mint Chip Ice Cream Starter with 1 ½ cups cream and 1 ½ cups half and half.

The attachments fit easily to the mixer. Then after pouring the cream mixture into the bowl, you leave the setting on stir for thirty minutes.

That’s it! It is so easy to enjoy your favorite ice cream on a summer day.

I have to admit the Mint Chip ice cream hit the spot tonight. There is something about mint desserts that I can’t get enough of. Your mouth is left feeling so refreshed and satisfied.

The ice cream might have been a little too easy to make tonight. I’m glad Williams-Sonoma didn’t have any of their pumpkin ice cream available when I went in.

It’s not who you are that holds you back. It’s who you think you’re not.

I have been a busy bee today. After getting in a solid workout this morning, I had to take Chris to have an MRI on his shoulder. Looks like it might be surgeryville on that one. I didn’t mind having to be the designated driver for this appointment because it gave me time to do a little shopping!

I tried to go to Williams-Sonoma on Monday, but they were closed to do inventory. What! I didn’t know a store could just be closed during mall business hours. Good thing Chris’ appointment was right around the corner so I could go there today.

I want everything in Williams-Sonoma, like this place setting with the artichoke and moss place card.

My stomach growls every time I walk in that store…it could also be because I was there at lunchtime but still. To satisfy my hunger, I headed to another one of my favorite places, Whole Foods.

The salad bar was calling my name, specifically the feta blend cheese they had today. Yummy! I knew Chris would be pretty hungry after fasting all morning, so I picked him up a chicken salad wrap and some honey mustard kettle chips to enjoy once he got back to work. Honey mustard kettle chips are the bomb.com.

Produce is one thing Whole Foods does really well. The overwhelming amount of veggies made me want to make this for dinner…

This pizza spin came from my love of Papa Murphy’s Gourmet Veggie Pizza. It is insanely delicious!

Okay, I really thought the ranch was going to be so gross on a pizza, but it really works well with the veggies. Papa Murphy’s does use a cream sauce, but I can’t tell if it really is ranch.

This pizza gives Amy’s Roasted Vegetable Pizza a run for its money.
